Costume Designers Guild Awards 2017: The Nominations

The Costume Designers Guild have announced their nominees in seven categories for the 19th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards. The awards honor the outstanding work of costume designers in film, television and short form media throughout the year.

The awards celebrate many different types of film and television including contemporary, period and fantasy amounting to fifteen total film nominees as well as fifteen total television nominees — bringing more attention to different areas of Costume Designers work.

The actress and singer Mandy Moore will take the stage as host for the ceremony, which will take place on February 21st at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

Moore commented on taking up the hosting duties in a statement saying “I am honored to be hosting this year’s ceremony. I’ve always been in awe of my costume designers and am especially thrilled to be working with the brilliant Hala Bahmet on our series This Is Us. I’m excited to join in celebrating the art of costume design and help shine a spotlight on the artists who are so essential to character creation.
