Netflix Releases Trailer For Sundance Premiering Documentary ‘MITT’

After acquiring original documentary Mitt just last week, Netflix have released a trailer for the upcoming feature that will premiere on Netflix on January 24, 2014 in all territories.

Greg Whiteley’s original 90 minute documentary focuses on presidential candidate Mitt Romney along his six year journey through presidential candidacy. The documentary entitled ‘Mitt’ takes the audience behind the curtain of the Romney campaign and yields a perception changing look at the presidential candidate through exclusive access this documentary by filmmaker Greg Whiteley which actually takes you inside the life of a previously extremely private man and his political, private and family lives. The documentary also shows just how Romney was conflicted about putting his wife and family through the rigors and exposure of mounting a campaign. After Senator John McCain defeated him in the 2008 primary, it seemed unlikely Romney would run again. The story picks up four years later as Romney secures the Republican nomination and faces President Obama in their first debate.

Director Greg Whiteley (“New York Doll,” “Resolved”) travels alongside the campaign through interactions with potential voters, preparations for the debates, personal moments with his family and concluding with final presidential election night results.

After debuting at the Sundance Film Festival on January 17th, the documentary will then just eight days later premiere on Netflix.
