MTV Cancels Drama ‘Eye Candy’

MTV left the shows star Victoria Justice to make the announcement, before confirming themselves, on Saturday that drama ‘Eye Candy’ would not be returning for a second season.

The tweet read “Eye Candy will not be returning for season two,” she wrote in an extended post. “Even though a lot of you are going to feel sad/angry, please know that playing Lindy Sampson, is something that I loved and I will hold dear to my heart.

Victoria Justice also wrote Justice “Thank you to the amazing fans, I saw all of your WW trends (it might be 23 or 24 to date) and your unflinching support. It’s because of all of you that I get to do what I love. I am beyond grateful for that. It made me so happy that you embraced the show the way you did. I was so lucky to have you guys along for the ride, because you made it that much more exciting!

The one and only season includes ten episodes of the show, which aired earlier this year to an averaged 592,000 viewers.

MTV makes the announcement prior to it upcoming presentation to advertisers, where it is expected to announce a selection of new shows at its upfront presentation on Tuesday. The network’s shows currently include Awkward, Faking It, Finding Carter and Teen Wolf.
