Pretty Little Liars thrilling fourth season finale has pushed the series to become the most tweeted show of the year so far and the fourth most tweeted series in recorded social media history.
Last night finale blasted social media with almost 1.5 million tweets by a near 411,000 unique accounts basically calculated at over 37,000 tweets a minute. Nielsen ratings has also estimated that Pretty Little Liars averaged in adults 18-49 a rating of 1.3 and an complete total of 3.12 million viewers in its 8-9pm time slot.
The episode was ranked as Tuesday top-rated broadcast of the night, as well as top in key demos, as it ranked 4.0 in females 12-34 and 1.9 in adults 18-34. It also ranked 2.1 women 18-49 and top in several other demographics.
The most tweeted telecast in TV history is last summer season finale of Pretty Little Liars with 1.892 million tweets, since then the rest of the fourth season, nine episodes in total, has collected over 1 million tweets.
Pretty Little Liars returns to the air for the premiere of its fifth season on June 10th.
