Spike TV Renews ‘Lip Sync Battle’ For A Second Season

After a record breaking four episodes, Spike TV has announced that it will pick up another 20 episodes of the highly-rated critically-acclaimed series, Lip Sync Battle, hosted by LL COOL J, the new season will debut in 2016.

Over the last four episodes, Lip Sync Battle has become the most-watched original series in the network’s history with adults 18-49, averaging 3 million viewers. The series has also amassing accumulated over 107 million video streams in three weeks online.

Spike President Kevin Kay commented on the renewal saying “Lip Sync Battle is a television and viral rock star for Spike. We are thrilled to be renewing Lip Sync Battle whose success is a direct result of the brilliance and creativity of our producers, the brave performers, and of course the coolest new duo on television, LL COOL J and Chrissy Teigen.

With four episodes still to come, those still to be on the show this season include Terrence Howard Justin Bieber, Queen Latifah, Will Arnett, Alison Brie, Mike Tyson, and Terry Crews among others.

Production details, location, and talent participating in the second season is still to be announced.
